Segment Identify

TL;DR: Open Settings → Connections → Customer data → Segment → Install Jake. Copy the endpoint and token into a Segment Extensible Webhooks destination.

Setup

Jake creates a scoped HTTPS endpoint and a bearer token (shown once). Create an Extensible Webhooks destination in Segment with those values.

Segment identify calls now update Jake customer profiles automatically.

Verify

Send a test Identify event with a stable userId. Open Playground with that customer identity. Confirm the attributes appear.

Rotate

Click install again to rotate the token. Update Segment immediately — the old token is invalidated.

What to send

Only context the support agent needs: plan, company, locale, account age. Never API keys, passwords, or payment data.
